Just under eight years ago, Stokesay Castle hosted the 17th Century Fencing Master show; A performance spanning the history and development of Rapier and Dagger play, seen through the eyes of dashing, heroic, talented (modest) Master Elijah Vance and his comedic sidekick assisstant George Brown.
In the audience was Tony Chance, Concept Illustrator, Storyboard Artist and lover of good history. Tony took the characters and threw them right into the middle of a 17th Century road-trip buddy-movie, with a battle, a King on the Run and a case of mistaken identity. The Escape of the King was born... Eight years on, Tony has penned a script, secured a myriad of skilled professionals and completed a trailer to attract funding.
The Movie
Escape of the King sees our two protagonists regailing the drinkers of the Kings Arms
Inn with tales of their bravery and heroism during the Battle of Worcester and
subsequent flight of King Charles...
However, the actual events played out are a little different and
behind the stories, the true series of events is revealed

***UPDATE***
We are in the process of trying to attract major funding and therefore need to produce a maximum 10 minute short - which will most likely include a major fight scene.
